Exhibition news

Many thanks to @lagunalibre for hosting my current photography exhibition ‘Time & Tide’ in Venice and also to Redeye: The Photography Network @redeyetpn for listing the exhibition on their website.

Fleeting Visions

A combination of intense sunlight and reflection through the windows of the vaporetto (water bus) stop, as the boat pulls into the jetty. Natural layers, juxtaposed into frozen moments make intriguing abstractions. Venice, Italy. May 2022.

Time & Tide - a photography exhibition. Venice, Italy


Black and white photography exploring the beauty, mystery and intrigue of Venice throughout the seasons.

 

Inspired by the modernist photographers and photojournalists of the 20th century, and the timeless quality of film, ‘Time & Tide’ is part of an evolving broader photographic project attempting to preserve the essence, soul and atmosphere of Venice away from the tourist scene.




Eleven works selected from the project are framed and on display at Laguna Libre EcoOsteria & Jazz Bar in Cannaregio, Venice. They all demonstrate the lure and timeless attraction of Venice, though its street life, lagoon environment and the unique interplay of light, shadow and reflection. The collection is on display until the end of June 2024.
